This handwoven Beni M'Guild rug originates from the Middle Atlas mountains of Morocco, crafted by the Ait Oumalou, known as the 'People of the Shadow' for their ancestral lands on the northern slopes of the High Atlas. Their weavings are celebrated for dense wool pile and layered geometric compositions that reveal themselves gradually over time.
As the thick pile wears with age, subtle diamond patterns and symbolic motifs emerge from beneath the surface. These designs are not merely decorative but carry deeper meaning, representing femininity, fertility, and protection within the home. We accept returns within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in original condition. As our rugs ship directly from Morocco, return shipping is the buyer's responsibility.
