This hand-knotted Shiraz rug originates from the Fars province in southwestern Iran, a region renowned for its rich weaving heritage shaped by nomadic and semi-nomadic tribes such as the Qashqai. Shiraz weavers are known for producing bold geometric compositions using natural dyes, with repeating diamond lattice patterns that carry deep tribal significance.
Dating from the 1970s to 1980s, this piece displays a rich, earthy orange-red ground, a tone traditionally derived from madder root, set against dark brown accents that define its striking lattice framework. The natural variations in colour and knotting reflect the rhythms of nomadic life and the individual hand of the weaver who created it.

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in original condition. As our rugs ship directly from Morocco, return shipping is the buyer's responsibility.
